Your Notion dates, in the calendars you already use: Google and Outlook together, with a link for everyone else. One Premium Calendar Link can connect both direct destinations while publishing its read-only iCal feed. Use Premium two-way sync to reschedule supported linked Notion events from Google or Outlook. Share an iCal URL with people who use Apple Calendar, Fantastical, or another compatible app. They can keep their calendar app and do not need a Notion account.
This comparison is published by Notion to Calendar. We checked the linked competitor documentation on November 2, 2026. The focus is getting the dates you manage in Notion into the calendar apps you and your readers already use.
How the calendar connections compare
| Tool | Google and Outlook connection | iCal publishing for other apps |
|---|---|---|
| Notion to Calendar | Premium two-way edits for mapped, non-recurring Notion events; direct connections remain labeled beta | Read-only feed alongside direct connections, with a free plan for one calendar |
| 2sync | Direct Google and Outlook connections | Standalone iCal publishing is not documented in the reviewed guides |
| NotionCalSync | One-way direct Google push; Outlook uses an ICS subscription | Read-only subscription feeds |
| Zapier | Configured triggers and actions; Zaps are one-directional workflows | Depends on the configured app integration and actions |
| Notion Calendar | Google, Outlook and iCloud accounts displayed in its own interface | Not documented as a Notion database publishing workflow |

Why choose Notion to Calendar
Suppose your projects already have dates in Notion. You want them in your calendar, with a different filtered schedule for each client. The setup is focused:
- Connect Notion and choose a database or supported view.
- Choose the date field, event details and, on Premium, filters.
- Authorize Google, Outlook or both direct destinations, and share the iCal feed with readers who need it.
You do not design separate triggers and actions for creation and updates. You do not ask every reader to adopt a new planning app. A supported view can prefill the configuration instead of rebuilding its filters.
For this workflow, the setup stays focused on the dates, fields and destination you need. Your Notion database remains the planning source, and your existing calendar app stays where you check the schedule.
One project review, three calendar destinations
Suppose your Notion project database has a dated row called “Client review.” Create one Premium Calendar Link from that database and choose the date and details to publish.
| Destination from that Calendar Link | How you use it |
|---|---|
| Dedicated Google calendar | See the linked review alongside your personal schedule; supported edits can return to its Notion page with two-way mode enabled |
| Selected writable Outlook calendar | Keep the same Notion schedule in the Outlook calendar you use for work, also with supported two-way edits when enabled |
| Read-only iCal feed | Give the client a URL to subscribe in Apple Calendar or another compatible app, without a Notion account |
If you reschedule the linked review through a supported direct connection, its Notion date can update. Changes are processed asynchronously, and the client’s app decides when to fetch the feed. You are connecting an existing Notion record, not importing every meeting from your accounts.
Google and Outlook together, with multiple calendars
You can authorize multiple Google and Microsoft accounts in the same Notion to Calendar account. Premium supports multiple Calendar Links, including several from the same Notion database with different filters or date fields.
Each Calendar Link supports one Google destination and one Outlook destination, alongside its iCal feed. Google creates a dedicated calendar for that link; it does not write into an arbitrary existing Google calendar. Outlook uses a writable calendar you select. Create another Calendar Link when you need another configuration.
Choose direct sync for supported two-way edits in Google or Outlook, and iCal feeds to view your Notion dates in other calendar apps. The Google setup guide and Outlook setup guide explain the supported fields and limits.
For setup, use the Google two-way sync guide and Outlook two-way sync guide.
What goes back to Notion?
Direct two-way sync updates existing mapped Notion pages. Supported non-recurring events can carry title and writable date changes, including all-day timing. Location and description changes must map back to supported writable properties. The connection must have two-way mode enabled; older Google observation-only links need activation.
It does not create a new Notion page for an unrelated Google or Outlook event. It does not archive a Notion page when someone deletes the external event. Recurrence, attendees, meeting responses, conferencing changes and reminders are outside direct-sync scope. Formula dates, generated links and page body content cannot be edited back through the calendar.
When both sides change, reliable modification times guide the decision; ties, ambiguity and recovery favor Notion. If you connect both providers, both update the same mapped Notion records. Avoid editing the same event in several places before the previous change has synced.
Read the editing model comparison before deciding that “two-way” includes a particular field or import behavior.
Put the same Notion schedule to work in different calendars
Client deadlines without another account for the client
Keep client work in one Notion database. Create a Premium Calendar Link filtered to the client, select the details to publish, and share its read-only URL. The client can subscribe in a compatible calendar app without a Notion account. Anyone with the URL can read those published events, so review the fields before sharing.
The 2sync comparison shows how this feed-sharing route sits alongside direct Google and Outlook connections.
Reschedule your work from Google or Outlook
Plan a dated task in Notion, then move its linked event in your direct Google or Outlook calendar. With two-way mode enabled, a supported date change updates the existing Notion page. You can keep a read-only feed for teammates who just need the schedule.
The NotionCalSync comparison covers direct edits and subscription delivery. The Zapier comparison explains the source-and-destination setup without separate creation and update Zaps.
Let readers keep Apple Calendar, Outlook or Fantastical
Your database does not have to dictate everyone’s calendar app. Share the feed with a family member using Apple Calendar, a client in Outlook, or a collaborator using Fantastical. Each person subscribes in their own compatible app; they do not have to move their planning into Notion.
The Notion Calendar comparison explains how N2C delivers database dates into those existing apps.
Does “any calendar” include Apple Calendar?
Apple Calendar and other apps that accept iCal subscriptions can read the feed. That route is one-way from Notion. It does not become two-way because the receiving app can edit its own calendars. Direct two-way connections are specifically Google and Outlook; there is no direct iCloud two-way integration here.
A feed also waits for the receiving app to fetch it. Direct connections avoid that subscription polling step but still process asynchronously. Neither means a fixed or instant delivery guarantee.
Start with one free calendar
Connect Notion, select a dated database, and publish your first read-only feed with up to 30 events. No credit card is needed. Follow the free feed setup, then add Premium when you need filters, multiple Calendar Links or supported two-way Google and Outlook edits.
Use your Notion database in Apple Calendar
Notion to Calendar creates a private calendar feed from Notion, so your events appear in Apple Calendar on iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Watch.
