Notion Calendar for Teachers & Tutors
Keep lesson plans in Notion. See teaching dates in your calendar.
Notion to Calendar connects dated entries in your teaching planner to the calendar app you already use. Teachers, private tutors and workshop leaders can see classes, preparation time and grading deadlines without rebuilding their lesson plans.

How teachers & tutors use it
Example workflows for your Notion planner
Class timetable
Give each class occurrence its own dated Notion entry. Include a room and course label so calendar events tell you where to teach.
Private tutoring
Keep confirmed sessions in a filtered calendar. Track preparation separately so a lesson slot does not hide the time needed beforehand.
Workshop delivery
Plan registration cutoffs, material preparation and delivery dates as separate entries. The calendar shows the next step, while Notion holds the lesson content.
Grading and feedback
Add marking and feedback deadlines to your planner, then see them alongside classes rather than treating teaching time as your entire workload.
How to connect this workflow
Use the dates you already maintain in Notion.
- Start with a Notion teaching database containing a title and a Date property for each lesson.
- Add course, room and session status properties if they help distinguish your classes.
- Connect the database in N2C, then choose your calendar destination or a calendar link.
- For a shared timetable, filter the intended course and check event titles and details before sharing the link.
Premium direct Google and Outlook connections support two-way updates for supported, mapped non-recurring events. Shared iCal links and Apple Calendar feeds send dates from Notion to the calendar; the calendar app decides when to fetch changes. Configure reminders in your calendar app.

Questions from teachers & tutors
Is this a lesson-planning tool or a calendar connection?
It is a calendar connection. Keep lesson materials and planning in Notion; N2C sends entries with a Date property to your calendar app. It does not create lesson plans or manage student attendance.
Can I sync a weekly timetable?
Create a separate dated Notion entry for each class occurrence. A single entry does not automatically expand into recurring classes, so date each session you want to see.
Can students subscribe without a Notion account?
Yes, a shared calendar link can be subscribed to in a compatible calendar app. Use a separate calendar and select only the event fields intended for students; do not include private student notes.
Can I keep different courses separate?
Premium Calendar Links can filter the same database by course or group. Create a separate link for each audience instead of sharing your complete teaching schedule.

- Several Notion workspaces, one account
- Connect your personal, work or client workspaces and choose which databases to use. Each workspace keeps its own permissions.
- Direct calendar connections
- Send Notion events to a dedicated Google calendar or connect Outlook. Google edits do not update Notion. Outlook two-way beta supports selected edits on linked, non-recurring events when enabled for your connection.
- Feeds for each project
- Create multiple feeds from a database. Apply filters or start from an existing Notion view with its date field, filter and name.
- The event details you need
- Choose titles and descriptions from Notion properties. Include locations, links and attachments in compatible iCal apps. Direct connections support their own set of mapped fields.
- More dates in your calendar
- Formula date fields are supported. Premium feeds fetch a broader event window than Free.
- Share a schedule by URL
- Share an iCal feed with people who do not use Notion. Anyone with the private URL can read that feed, so share it only with the intended recipients.
- Shorter feed caching
- Premium keeps the source feed fresh more often. Calendar apps still choose when to fetch iCal subscriptions. Direct Google and Outlook connections do not wait for that polling cycle; processing is asynchronous.
