How musicians & performers use it

Example workflows for your Notion planner

Gig calendar

Store the confirmed performance date and venue in Notion. Use separate entries for soundcheck or travel if they need their own place in the calendar.

Rehearsal calls

Give each rehearsal occurrence its own date and include the room or preparation notes you want collaborators to see.

Recording sessions

Plan studio bookings, edit reviews and mix deliveries as dated milestones. Keep audio files and detailed production feedback in your original tools.

Release preparation

Track artwork handoff, final-master delivery and release dates. Use the content-creators page for a publishing-first workflow focused on videos, posts and newsletters.

How to connect this workflow

Use the dates you already maintain in Notion.

  1. Use a music-planning database with a title, Date property, project label and booking status.
  2. Date each rehearsal, performance and recording session separately.
  3. Connect your calendar and use Premium filters to separate projects or confirmed dates.
  4. Check venue and call-time details, then share only the calendar intended for your collaborators.

Premium direct Google and Outlook connections support two-way updates for supported, mapped non-recurring events. Shared iCal links and Apple Calendar feeds send dates from Notion to the calendar; the calendar app decides when to fetch changes. Configure reminders in your calendar app.

FAQ

Questions from musicians & performers

Does N2C book venues or distribute music?

No. It connects dated Notion entries to a calendar. Venue booking, ticketing, music distribution and rights management remain in your existing workflow.

Can I separate confirmed gigs from enquiries?

Yes, with a Premium Calendar Link filtered by booking status. Record the intended dates and choose which statuses belong in the calendar.

Can bandmates subscribe to rehearsal dates?

Yes. Share a calendar link with the selected dates and details. Recipients do not need Notion access, so review the event data before sharing.

Can I include soundcheck and travel time?

Create separate dated entries for soundcheck and travel if you want distinct calendar events. N2C does not infer call times or calculate travel duration from a gig booking.

Several Notion workspaces, one account
Connect your personal, work or client workspaces and choose which databases to use. Each workspace keeps its own permissions.
Direct calendar connections
Send Notion events to a dedicated Google calendar or connect Outlook. Google edits do not update Notion. Outlook two-way beta supports selected edits on linked, non-recurring events when enabled for your connection.
Feeds for each project
Create multiple feeds from a database. Apply filters or start from an existing Notion view with its date field, filter and name.
The event details you need
Choose titles and descriptions from Notion properties. Include locations, links and attachments in compatible iCal apps. Direct connections support their own set of mapped fields.
More dates in your calendar
Formula date fields are supported. Premium feeds fetch a broader event window than Free.
Share a schedule by URL
Share an iCal feed with people who do not use Notion. Anyone with the private URL can read that feed, so share it only with the intended recipients.
Shorter feed caching
Premium keeps the source feed fresh more often. Calendar apps still choose when to fetch iCal subscriptions. Direct Google and Outlook connections do not wait for that polling cycle; processing is asynchronous.
