Notion Calendar now supports Outlook. Do you still need Notion to Calendar?
Notion Calendar added Outlook support in June 2026. That is a real change, and it is good news for anyone who wants to use Notion Calendar as their main calendar app.
It also changes the comparison. The question is no longer "does Notion Calendar support Outlook?" The better question is:
Where do you want your Notion database dates to appear?
If you want to see Outlook, Google, iCloud, and Notion database items inside Notion Calendar, the official Notion Calendar app may be enough. If your team lives in Outlook, Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, Fantastical, or another calendar app, Notion to Calendar still solves a different problem.
What Notion Calendar's Outlook support means
Notion's public product page now says Notion Calendar works with Google Calendar accounts, Outlook Calendars, and Apple iCloud-synced Calendars: Notion Calendar.
Notion Calendar's own announcement says Outlook support lets users view and edit events, RSVP, search, check availability, and schedule from Notion Calendar.
That makes Notion Calendar much stronger as a calendar hub. You can bring your external calendars into Notion Calendar and plan alongside your Notion database items.
What it does not replace
Notion Calendar is still a calendar app. It is designed around using Notion Calendar as the interface.
Notion to Calendar is not trying to be another calendar app. It creates calendar feeds from Notion databases so those dates appear in the calendar apps people already use.
That difference matters when:
- Your company works in Outlook or Microsoft 365
- Clients need to see a schedule but should not get Notion access
- Family, contractors, or teammates use different calendar apps
- You want a private URL that can be subscribed to from Apple Calendar, Google Calendar, Outlook, Fantastical, BusyCal, or Thunderbird
- You want filtered calendar feeds from one Notion database
- You want custom event titles, descriptions, locations, and attachments from Notion properties

Which one should you use?
Use Notion Calendar if you want a dedicated calendar app that brings Notion, Outlook, Google, and iCloud calendars into one interface.
Use Notion to Calendar if you want your Notion database dates to appear in the calendar app your team already opens every day.
That is the clean dividing line.
Why Outlook support still matters to us
Before this update, "Notion Calendar does not support Outlook" was a simple way to explain part of the gap. That is no longer accurate.
The better positioning is:
Notion Calendar brings Outlook into Notion Calendar. Notion to Calendar brings Notion database dates into Outlook and other calendar apps.
For Microsoft 365 teams, that distinction is important. A team may plan projects, launches, deadlines, or content in Notion, but still rely on Outlook for reminders, availability, mobile notifications, and day-to-day scheduling.
Notion to Calendar keeps that workflow intact. Notion remains the planning system. Outlook remains the calendar.
Bottom line
Notion Calendar's Outlook support is a strong official feature, and many users should try it.
But it does not remove the need for Notion database feeds. It changes the pitch from "Notion Calendar is missing Outlook" to "choose where your calendar should live".
If you want another calendar hub, use Notion Calendar. If you want Notion dates in the calendar app you already use, use Notion to Calendar.
