FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about connecting Notion to Apple Calendar

How do I add a Notion calendar to Apple Calendar?

Connect your Notion database to Notion to Calendar, choose the date property to use, and copy the generated calendar feed URL. In the Calendar app on iPhone or iPad, tap Calendars → Add Calendar → Add Subscription Calendar, paste the URL, tap Find, then choose iCloud next to Account and tap Done. On Mac, open Calendar → File → New Calendar Subscription and paste the URL.

Does this work on iPhone, iPad, and Mac?

Yes. To see the subscription on every device, Apple recommends subscribing on your Mac first (Calendar → File → New Calendar Subscription) and setting its location to iCloud. iCloud then syncs it to your iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch. Subscribing only on an iOS device keeps the calendar on that device.

Do I need to install any additional applications?

No, Notion to Calendar works completely in the cloud. You only grant access to your Notion account and subscribe to the feed in Apple Calendar — no app to install.

How often does Apple Calendar update my Notion events?

On a Mac you can set the interval: Control-click the subscribed calendar, choose Get Info, and pick an Auto-refresh frequency (or refresh on demand with View → Refresh Calendars). On our side, the free plan caches each feed for up to 6 hours while the premium plan refreshes it every minute, so premium changes become available sooner regardless of how often Apple Calendar checks.

What happens if I delete an event in Notion?

If you delete an event in Notion, it drops out of the feed and disappears from Apple Calendar on the next refresh. Notion stays your single source of truth.
